How atmospheric water generators work

How atmospheric water generators work

An atmospheric water generator produces drinking water directly from the air. You do not need plumbing, bottled-water deliveries or storage for gallons — only air and electricity.

From airborne moisture to drinking water

Air always contains water vapor, even when it does not feel humid. The generator draws in air, cools it to the dew point and collects the condensate in a tank. The water then passes through multi-stage filtration and UV sterilization so it is ready to drink.

Quality that does not depend on the mains

With filtered tap water, the result always depends on the incoming supply. With an atmospheric generator, the source is moisture in the air and purification is controlled inside the unit. That is especially useful off-grid, in the mountains, on sites, or wherever tap water quality is unreliable.

  • Condensation of atmospheric moisture
  • Multi-stage filtration
  • UV sterilization before use

Output depends on temperature and humidity. At 30°C and 80% humidity, models reach their rated capacity; drier air means lower production. Choose a model with a margin above your real daily use.
